Recognizing Skin Infection in Child Eczema

Skin infections in children with atopic dermatitis (AD) can increase the severity of eczema, promote invasive infections, and increase the prevalence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. In this lecture, Dr Dina Muktiarti discusses AD in children, how to identify early signs of infection, and manage the condition. She also presents case studies on eczema in children and the therapeutic regimen for this chronic condition.

Our Speaker

Dr Dina Muktiarti is a paediatrician at the Department of Child Health, University of Indonesia Medical School – Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a member of national and international societies, including the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She has also published extensively in various journals, and her interests are mainly on paediatric allergy and clinical immunology.
