About this course
According to the Global Burden of Disease Study, low back pain is one of the leading
causes of years lived with disability worldwide since the 1990s. A person’s occupation, his personal risk
factors, and general health condition may contribute to the development of this condition. As such, a thorough
history, coupled with certain diagnostic maneuvers, is vital in assessing low back pain. Its appropriate
management, on the other hand, is based on the chronicity of the disease and specific interventions that vary
based on its time course.
This e-learning module aims to discuss the common risk factors, clinical features, and
management approach to mechanical low back pain.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:
