Overview

About this course

Immunization is one of the most successful and cost-effective public health strategies for disease prevention and promotion of overall individual health. Unfortunately, vaccination programs across Asia mainly focus on the pediatric age group, leaving the adult population vulnerable to various vaccine-preventable diseases. It is crucial for healthcare providers to be equipped with the knowledge necessary to promote vaccine acceptance, make vaccine recommendations during every patient encounter, and ultimately contribute to improved public health outcomes.

This e-learning module is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of vaccination throughout adulthood and update participants on the recommended adult immunization schedule in this postpandemic era, including that for COVID 19 vaccine, human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine, pneumococcal vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, and others.
