About this course

COVID-19’s status as a public health emergency of international concern may have ended, but it still remains widely prevalent and continues to pose a threat, especially to the vulnerable populations. This e-learning module discusses the COVID-19 situation in Singapore, the use of COVID-19 boosters in at-risk populations, the real-world effectiveness and safety of COVID-19 boosters, and strategies to overcome barriers to use, including vaccine hesitancy.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Understand the current state of COVID-19 in Singapore and its implications on public health
  • Recognise the significance of maintaining vigilance and complying with COVID-19 preventive measures, particularly vaccination among at-risk populations
  • Review real-world data regarding the effectiveness and safety of COVID-19 booster doses
  • Identify common barriers to vaccine acceptance and utilisation, and learn about effective strategies to overcome these challenges
