Palliative care is one of the health spectrum components essential in ensuring the quality of life of patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. This involves identifying and managing the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual challenges in the process. To achieve this, it is essential to integrate palliative care and hospice care into the practice of primary care providers and should be aligned with the provisions and implementation of Universal Health Care (UHC).
