About this course

The attainment of universal health coverage remains a global challenge since accessing health services constitutes a disproportionate amount of out-of-pocket health spending. Pharmacists play a crucial role in providing optimal primary healthcare services which are of great importance in achieving the goal of universal health coverage. In addition, utilization of digital health, such as telemedicine, has substantially helped healthcare workers in providing quality health services efficiently. To optimize the role of pharmacists, integrating innovative technologies and advancements in pharmacy practice strengthens healthcare systems and enables them to work to their full potential.

This e-learning module focuses on the importance of expansion of pharmacists’ scope of practice and application of health technology in delivering enhanced patient-centered care and supporting global health goals.
