About this webinar

This webinar introduces the concept of planetary health through the lens of family and community medicine, emphasizing the deep interconnection between ecological determinants and human health. Anchored in the Patient-centered, Family-focused, and Community-oriented (PFC) framework, it highlights how the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss—affect everyday primary care. The session calls for urgent, holistic, and locally grounded responses from health professionals and culminates in the ceremonial launch of the PAFP Planetary Health Champion Course

Expert speakers will cover two essential topics:

1.The PFC Framework : Integrating Planetary Health into Family and Community Medicine by Dr. Jake Cortez

2.Planetary Health Defined: Understanding the Triple Crisis and Its Impact on Human Health By Dr. Renzo Guinto

This course empowers clinicians to translate planetary health knowledge into practical, impactful actions that promote a healthier and more sustainable future for patients, families, and communities.
