About this webinar

This webinar is designed to equip pharmacists with practical, evidence-based strategies to support smoking and vaping cessation in everyday practice. As frontline healthcare professionals, pharmacists play a key role in early identification of nicotine dependence, patient counselling, and ongoing cessation support.

The session addresses both conventional cigarette smoking and vaping, recognising their distinct patterns of use, dependence, and cessation challenges. Through two focused expert-led sessions, pharmacists will gain clinically relevant insights into nicotine addiction, behavioural counselling techniques, and appropriate medication and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) options that can be implemented in pharmacy settings.

With vaping use rising, particularly among younger populations, the webinar also highlights current evidence and guidance on vaping cessation, incorporating perspectives from Singapore’s experience and practice frameworks.
