Overview

About this course

The COVID-19 pandemic took its toll on the mental health of people, leading to an increase in depressive and anxiety disorders in the post-pandemic era. As such, it is vital to recognize symptoms of an anxiety attack as well as depressive symptoms at the primary care level, with due regard to red flags indicating a need to refer to a specialist. Both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions play a pivotal role in the overall management of these mental health disorders, along with identifying and addressing the causes of depression and anxiety.
