Overview
Palliative care is one of the health spectrum components essential in ensuring the quality of life of
patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. This involves identifying and managing the
physical, psychosocial, and spiritual challenges inherent in this situation. To achieve this, it is
essential to integrate palliative care and hospice care into the practice of primary care providers and
should be aligned with the provisions and implementation of Universal Health Care (UHC).
This
e-learning module aims to discuss palliative care and the gaps and barriers encountered in its practice,
alongisde the importance of its integration into the UHC.
