Gastroesophageal reflux disease or GERD is a common disease affecting all ages and genders worldwide, with increasing prevalence in developing countries in Asia. This e-learning module discusses the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of GERD, highlighting the alarm features to watch out for, lifestyle interventions that can be advised on top of medical treatment, and a new drug class in the pharmacologic management of GERD.
